Wisconsin is known for having sound technicians along the OL. Rob Havenstein is just that. Standing at 6’8 and weighing in at 327, he has impressive size, yet has athleticism. He is a quality run blocker, with the ability to get to the second level. He is a big reason, for Wisconsin’s success running the ball. Havenstein uses his length to keep defenders from getting their hands on him. He finishes blocks, often.
Havenstein is a Right Tackle, but that doesn’t hurt his draft stock. RTs have been getting drafted in the bottom of 1st rounds into the 2nd round. RTs have become more important to offenses, because of so many teams with pass rushers on both sides.
