Strengths:
Very good athlete with good feet to move within the pocket and has shown the ability to run the option and make plays with his feet. Has good mechanics and a snap release that is equivalent to others in the NFL. Can read defenses quickly and pull the trigger with accuracy. This season he has show an improvement in the area of touch passes and control. Very gritty competitor and is a field general in SELU’s spread offense.
Weaknesses:
Sometimes is too reliant on his athleticism to get him out of plays. Has a tendency to stare down reads and scramble out of the pocket too early. Does not have top level arm strength and has a low release point that could be corrected.
Draft Prognosis:
Currently he projects as a 6th – 7th round pick, but could move up with good athletic tests and showings in all-star games.
