#2 Florida State Seminoles (7-0) @ Louisville Cardinals (6-2)

7:30 pm ESPN

Florida State comes into this game off a bye week and a very emotional victory at home against the #6 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Louisville also comes off a bye and a home victory over North Carolina State. Louisville has the 4th ranked defense in the nation and they will face the 19th best offense in Florida State. This is not only a conference game, but a division game and the winner will be up with Clemson as the leader in the Atlantic division of the ACC. Thursday night games have been a little crazy and this on will be no exception.

QB Jameis Winston Florida State Seminoles

Winston, if he decides to declare, will be the mystery of the draft. On Talent alone he is a top ranked QB with all the intangibles need to be successful in the NFL. Mix in all of his off the field issues and you have a different story. On the field he completes over 70% of his passes, has 1878 yards and 15 total touchdowns on the year, but most teams will not touch him with his laundry list of off the field issues.

Scout’s Take:

“ Winston has all the talent in the world, but his maturity is in question. Winston is going to have to prove his maturity from here on out, if FSU wants to make the playoffs.”                                                                                                             – Bret LaGasse

WR DeVante Parker Louisville Cardinals

DeVante Parker has only played in one game this season, but he still has the potential to be an impact wide receiver at the next level so we showcase him here. In his first and only start this season Parker had 9 receptions and 132 yards and has the perfect spotlight on Thursday night to showcase his talent.

Scout’s Take:

“ DeVante Parker has the size, athleticism, and big play ability. Parker is one of the most dangerous red zone threats in college football.”                                                                                     – Bret LaGasse

#10 TCU Horned Frogs (6-1) @ #20 West Virginia Mountaineers (6-2)

3:30 pm ABC

TCU is coming off and absolute dismantling of Texas Tech, where they scored 82 points, the most ever in a Big 12 conference games. Now they travel to hostile Morgantown to take on the red hot Mountaineers of West Virginia. They are coming off a victory on the road at Oklahoma State, 34-10. WVU has only lost to #2 Alabama and #4 Oklahoma on the season. A loss in this game could eliminate either team from a chance at the Big 12 Championship.

MLB Jonathan Anderson TCU Horned Frogs

Anderson is a very solid linebacker and is a veteran leader on this football team. Anderson has good size at 6’3” and 227 pounds. This season he has 14 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and .5 sack. Even though he has lost playing time, Anderson has been a vocal force of this top ranked team.

Scout’s Take:

“ Anderson is a fast LB with good coverage skills. He makes plays all over the field for this TCU defense.”             – Bret LaGasse

SLB Isaiah Bruce West Virginia Mountaineers

Bruce is the strong side linebacker for the Mountaineer defense. Last season he led the team in unassisted tackles with 43. This season he has 15 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and has broken up a pass. Bruce has the size to play OLB at the next level.

Scout’s Take:

“ Hard working player on and off the field. He won the Iron Mountaineer award, for excellence in the weight room in 2013. It shows on the field. #5 in the Big 12 in forced fumbles in 2013 and 25th nationally.”                                          – Bret LaGasse

#4 Auburn Tigers (6-1) @ #7 Ole Miss Rebels (7-1)

7:00 PM ESPN

Auburn defeated South Carolina at home 42-35 this past weekend in a game that should have not been that close. This week they take on the Ole Miss Rebels who are coming off their first loss of the season at the hands of LSU. Auburn has the 15th ranked offense in the nation, but they will match up with the nation’s best scoring defense, which only surrender 10.5 points per game. The winner of this game will have to try to keep pace with #1 Mississippi State in the SEC West.

CB Jonathan Mincy Auburn Tigers

Mincy is a Senior leader on this Tiger defense. This season he has amassed 41 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and 7 passes defended. Mincy is also in charge of lining up his secondary teammates on every play. Mincy is only 5’10” and 196 pounds but plays a lot bigger than the roster states.

Scout’s Take:

“ Mincy has been a stout man to man CB. Prototypical size CB with pleny of ability.”                                                                                                                                            -Bret LaGasse

WR Vince Sanders Ole Miss Rebels

Sanders is the veteran, reliable wide receiver for this Rebel offense. This season he has 27 catches for 431 yards and 4 touchdowns. His shining moment this season was a touchdown catch he made in a close game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Sanders is 6’1”, but has a small frame, weighing only 185 pounds.

Scout’s Take:

“ Vince Sanders is a good WR for Ole Miss. He is averaging 16 yards per catch this season and has 4 TDs.”                                                                                               – Bret LaGasse

Stanford Cardinal (5-3) @ #5 Oregon Ducks (7-1)

7:30 pm FOX

Stanford is coming off a 38-14 victory versus the Oregon State Beavers. This season Stanford has struggled against every ranked team they have faced this season. They have lost to USC, Notre Dame and Arizona State. Their next ranked opponent will be the #5 ranked Oregon Ducks. The Ducks are coming off three straight conference victories that have not been close. The big question on Saturday night will be can the 2nd ranked Stanford defense slow down the 5th ranked Oregon offense?

DE Henry Anderson Stanford Cardinal

A 6’6”, 287 pound Senior defensive end, who is key component of the 2nd ranked defense in the nation. Anderson has 36 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 7 quarterback hurries on the season. Anderson is a beast and is very hard to block one on one.

Scout’s Take:

“ Anderson is a technician in his 5 technique position. He possess good size at 6’6” 287. Very stout against the run and gets his hands in passing lanes.”    -Bret LaGasse

DE DeForest Buckner Oregon Ducks

Bucker has been a force for the Oregon Ducks this season. He has compiled 49 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and has forced a fumble. He stands 6’7” 290 pounds and is a pure athlete. Even with that size he has the speed and quickness to make plays all over the field.

Scout’s Take:

“ Buckner has impressive athleticism for his size. At 6’6” 290, he moves well and has the ability to bat balls down.”                                                                         -Bret LaGasse

#18 Utah Utes (6-1) @ #15 Arizona State Sun Devils (6-1)

11 pm FOXSP1

If it wasn’t for an embarrassing loss at home to lowly Washington State, the Utah Utes would be leading the PAC 12. Utah has squeaked by the two ranked opponents they have faced this season in USC and UCLA. The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off a victory at the Washington Huskies 24-10. They got their starting quarterback back in Taylor Kelly and not hope to win this pivotal PAC 12 South game.

CB Eric Rowe Utah Utes

Eric Rowe is a big corner for the Utes, who have had some in the past such as NFLer Shaun Smith. Rowe measures in at 6’1” and 201 pounds. He has tallied 35 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 7 passes defended and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown versus Washington State. Rowe is a senior leader for this defense and will be a good prospect going into the 2015 NFL Draft.

Scout’s Take:

“ Another lengthy CB from Utah. Rowe is a good press corner, that helps lead a tough Utah defense.”                                                                                                               -Bret LaGasse

TE De’Marieya Nelson Arizona State Sun Devils

Nelson is a 6’2” 235 pound Senior TE for Arizona State. In an offense that doesn’t use the Tight End very much, he has 6 catches for 86 yards. Nelson is also used in blocking schemes, especially in wide receiver and tailback screens. Nelson is a weapon and when given the chance he can make plays for his team.

Scout’s Take:

“ Nelson doesn’t have the numbers and production, but he has athleticism and size to play H-Back at the next level.”                                                                           -Bret LaGasse
