#13 Arizona State Sun Devils (9-2) @ #15 Arizona Wildcats (9-2)
3:30pm FOX
Both teams are in a three-way tie with UCLA, for the top spot in the PAC 12 South and a spot in the PAC 12 Championship game versus Oregon. Both teams are sitting at 6-2 in the conference and 9-2 overall. Arizona State is coming off a home victory over Washington State and Arizona destroyed ranked Utah on the road. Arizona however did not come out of that game healthy, QB Anu Solomon is doubtful after leaving in a walking bout. This is a great rivalry and is a huge game for the Pac 12 and the nation’s first playoff rankings.
OG Jamil Douglas Arizona State Sun Devils
Overcoming some early off the field issues in his college career, Douglas has developed into a quality NFL prospect. He is a better pass blocker than a run blocker. He has the shape and size that teams want and could develop into a decent pro.
Scout’s Take:
“ Douglas moved to LT this year from OG. He has done a great job at pass protection and run blocking. That versatility will really weigh heavy on his draft stock.” – Bret LaGasse
FS Tra’Mayne Boundurant Arizona Wildcats
Currently mans the “spur” position for the Wildcats, which is a hybrid safety / linebacker role. Has the ability to drop down and cover receivers and even though he is not very big. He can deliver the wood on tackles. Boundurant is a late round prospect as a free safety. Very versatile, which NFL teams love.
Scout’s Take:
“ Boundurant is a very active safety, with good tackling ability. His height is a concern in coverage, but he has the size to match up against physical receivers.” – Bret LaGasse

#18 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-2) @ #10 Georgia Bulldogs (9-2)
12:00pm SEC
Georgia Tech is looking to stay healthy and prepare for a matchup next week in the ACC Championship game against Florida State, but instate rival Georgia will look to establish their dominance over their rival. GT is coming off a drubbing of Clemson at home, where they furthered their ACC dominance. Georgia is coming off a blowout win over Charleston Southern, an FCS team, that proved absolutely nothing. Both teams are on the outside looking in for a top 4 playoff spot, but this win could go far to help. With a Georgia win and a Missouri, loss the Bulldogs would play in the SEC title game.
OG Shaquille Mason Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Obviously coming from the triple option offense at Georgia Tech, Mason is a great run blocking guard, who has the potential to move to Center. Mason has also shown his ability to pass block in limited opportunities. Mason has played both Guards position at Georgia Tech and is quite versatile along the offensive line.
Scout’s Take:
“ Mason is possibly the most fundamentally sound Guard in this draft. He may project as a Center at the next level, due to his height.” – Bret LaGasse
C David Andrews Georgia Bulldogs
Coming into his third season as the starting Center for Georgia. Andrews has the ability to reach block and has a good initial leg drive. However, he doesn’t have great balance or the ability to recover after initially getting beat. He is most likely a day three pick.
Scout’s Take:
“ Andrews is a slightly smaller Center, but he has the ability to get to the second level. That’s apparent, with the success of both Gurley and Chubb.” – Bret LaGasse

#4 Mississippi State Bulldogs (10-1) @ #8 Mississippi Rebels (8-3)
3:30pm CBS
Coming into the Egg Bowl, Mississippi State shut out Vanderbilt 51-0 after getting beat on the road at Alabama for their first loss of the season. Mississippi has had a rough 4 weeks, with losses in 3 of their last 4 games. Losses at LSU and Arkansas and home against Auburn, has pushed the team from playoff spot contender to a team hoping for a decent bowl game now. The Bulldogs are hoping to keep pace and secure their top 4 position and will have to show well in this one to stay ahead of Baylor, TCU and Ohio State.
DE Preston Smith Mississippi State Bulldogs
Not only a typical Defensive End, but a player who can line up in the “A-gap” on passing downs and rush the passer from the inside of the defensive line. Smith has a long wingspan, heavy hands, and an array of pass rush moves. This season he has 8 sacks and 13.5 TFL to go along with 2 interceptions and 15 quarterback hurries.
Scout’s Take:
“ Very productive year so far, for the 6’6” 267lb Defensive End. He has 8 sacks, 2 interceptions and 1 touchdown. Preston Smith should be a first round pick this year.” -Bret LaGasse
QB Bo Wallace Mississippi Rebels
With the ability to attack the defense through the air and on the ground, Wallace is quite intriguing to NFL scouts. Wallace, however has some flaws, with only average arm strength and a wind up on deep throws. This season he is completing 62.8% of his passes for 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions and has added 4 scores on the ground.
Scout’s Take:
“ Inconsistent Quarterback with a big arm. When he is on, his team is on, He needs to get more consistent.” – Bret LaGasse

#25 Minnesota Golden Gophers (8-3)@ #16 Wisconsin Badgers
(9-2)
3:30 BTN
This game will determine who will face the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game. Minnesota is coming off a close loss at home to those Buckeyes and a win at Nebraska. Wisconsin has defeated Iowa and Nebraska the last two weeks. Both teams possess a NFL caliber running back in David Cobb for Minnesota and Melvin Gordon for Wisconsin. Both teams rely heavily on their run game and the key to this one will be who can stop the other teams ability to run the ball.
LB Damian Wilson Minnesota Golden Gophers
A senior linebacker, who is the cousin of the Gopher’s running back David Cobb has stepped in nicely after transferring from Junior College. Wilson has the ability to diagnose a play quickly and plays downhill with some thump in his pads. This season he has compiled 103 tackles, 10 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 1 interception.
Scout’s Take:
“ Wilson is a very productive Linebacker for Minnesota. With his size and athleticism, he can fit into any NFL defense.” -Bret LaGasse
TE Sam Arneson Wisconsin Badgers
Coming into this season he only had 10 career catches in 5 career starts, but with two tight ends graduating, Arneson takes over the starting role. Arneson is a reliable pass catcher and a decent blocker. This season he has compiled 23 catches for 303 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Scout’s Take:
“ Arneson has good size and strength. He is a quality blocker and a decent receiver. He shows ability to make tough catches, and can hang in the red zone.”-Bret LaGasse

#14 Auburn Tigers (8-3) @ #1 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1)
7:45 ESPN
The Iron bowl returns and if its anything like last season, we are in for a treat. Auburn is reeling after loses in 2 of their last 3. They have lost to Georgia on the road and Texas A&M at home, with their only win coming against FCS Samford. Records never matter in this matchup, and win by Auburn could turn the top 4 rankings on their head. An Alabama loss could also push Mississippi State into the SEC Championship Game. This game weighs huge in not only the SEC, but all of College Football.
DT Angelo Blackson Auburn Tigers
A 6’ 4”, 306 pounds Defensive Tackle from Bear, DE, Blackson is a rotation type guy for the Tigers. He doesn’t have any stand out qualities, but he is a solid defender and doesn’t make mistakes. He occupies blockers to allow his linebackers to roam and make plays. This season he has 15 tackles, 5.5 TFLs and 3 sacks to go with 4 quarterback hurries.
Scout’s Take:
“ Blackson is the overlooked DT on the Auburn Defensive Line. He has a high motor and is a quality interniot pass rusher.” -Bret LaGasse
FB Jalston Fowler Alabama Crimson Tide
A great blocking full back, who also has the ability to catch passes out of the backfield. Originally signed to Alabama as a running back, but has played H-back and under Lane Kiffin has been more of a traditional fullback. This season he has 8 rushes for 56 yards and 7 catches for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is the best blocking back in the nation and will be the top one off the board, around the 5th round this Spring.
Scout’s Take:
“ Fullbacks are not highly sought after players anymore, but Fowler has the make up to be a fantastic blocker, goal line back, and a rotational back at the next level.” -Bret LaGasse
